Gourmet Inspirations Prairie Berry Dessert Sauce Is Healthy And Taste Amazing

The Canadian prairies is a great place to gather succulent berries of all types. Some of the best are blueberries and saskatoons (also known as serviceberries).

Their rich purple-blue color and tart-sweet flavour make wonderful edible creations, and that is just what we’ve done here.

Harvested at their peak to get the best flavor possible, we’ve taken these two delicious berries and made a luscious dessert sauce.

You can see from the jar their natural dark rich color and when you pop open the lid, you smell the sweet berries.

The benefits of blueberries have been known for a while now. They are chocked full of flavonoids (which give them their vibrant color), vitamin C and many other vitamins and minerals.

The lesser known saskatoon berries are now considered a superfood, as they have the benefits of blueberries and then some!  Although they are typically smaller than a blueberry, they are filled with even more of the good stuff!

So if you have ever complained that the worst tasting foods are the best for you, you may have to eat those words!

The berries of Gourmet Inspirations Prairie Berry are packed with health benefits and taste amazing!

Many of the health benefits are in the skin of the fruit, so you’ll be glad to know that we don’t just juice the berries and toss the rest. Besides, using the whole berry gives the sauce texture. You’ll love the pieces of real berries throughout the sauce adding to the full, fresh taste..

So, what do you do with this jar of deep purple sauce? Try using Prairie Berry Dessert Sauce at brunch on waffles or in crepes. You could use it in a layered baked french toast or berry rolls (think cinnamon buns, but with this sauce rolled in instead).

Serve it with ice cream or cheesecake or make a tantalizing baked brie with this berry sauce as the topping!  We’ve even used this sauce in mixed drinks, like margaritas or martinis, and added it to make fruity summer popsicles.

The possibilities, as they say, are endless!
